Even the best laid plans....pummeled by snow

Hi there, Reader,

Three weeks ago I got in my little red car and drove from Colorado to Indiana to visit my two adults kids. I made the 16-hour intrastate drive, instead of flying, because I like to have the independence of driving my own car. And, despite I-70 being straight and boring, I kinda like the drive. I get to listen to audio books, music and, of course, my own thoughts.

I mapped out my plan for the 3 weeks I would be gone. My mail is being held, a neighbor is watering my plants, and my two kitties are in good hands. I had some in-person sound healing sessions lined up in Indiana. Otherwise, I would work from my computer. Then, I would get back in time for my big studio recording session on Jan. 10th which has been reserved for 3 months.

What is the saying? "Even the best laid plans of mice and men go awry."

While I knew there was a chance of snow in Decemeber and January in the midwest, I did not anticipate blizzard conditions followed by an artic freeze. So here I sit on the day I had planned to leave, snowed in and not sure when I can get out. Drivers are being told to stay home. Schools, businesses and government buildings are closed. And, you have probably heard about accidents and road closures on the I-70 corridor on your newsfeed.

"So, what's the lesson?", I ask my higher self.

Her answer: Trust the Process. Stop Being in Such a Hurry!

Yep, always in a hurry, that is me, for sure.

Sometimes we need to take each step nice and slow, being thoughtful about where we are planting our feet on the ground. If the ground is shaky, we can change our direction. If we are in a hurry, will we even notice the shaky ground or be able to change directions in time before it crumbles? How about tapping into our intuition more often to be able to receive the downloads, see the directional signs, and act upon those signs instead of plunging forward without a firm foundation below our feet?

Being on this journey of entrepreneurship, this is the message I continually get. "Slow down. Everything you need will be provided; everything you want is on its way."

Sure, I am upset by the prospect of not getting back in time for the studio recording session because the files are to be used in a new mini course for sound healing and to upgrade my program Tune In and Rise Up: Business Mentorship for Sound Healing Practitioners.

But, it is ok. I will slow down. One firm step in front of the other in the direction I am being pointed by the Universe. Slow down to see the signs.

How about you? Are you taking your time on your journey to read the signs presented to you by your higher self, your intuition, the universe?

When is a time that you realized if you had just slowed down, you would have seen the signs and heard the messages?
